Playing in first person view, either with the helmet cam or on board cam is a lot more challenging than using the more common third person perspective, but if you are looking for greater immersion in the game it is definitely the way to go, as is cockpit view in car racing titles.
My lap times here were not the quickest and my riding not the smoothest but hopefully it gives you an idea of the greater sense of speed you experience in first person racing on a motorcycle and the huge amount of fun and satisfaction it can deliver.
Unfortunately the game offers no options for adjusting controller sensitivity settings, which makes mastering first person racing a little difficult right out of the gate and you may find you need a fair bit of practice before it starts to come together. PC players using console controllers have sourced software that does enable them to tweak sensitivity I believe, but on XBox360 or PS3 you are stuck with the defaults, whatever they might be.
(You might notice that the speedometer on the bike shows MPH but is actually displaying my speed in KMH - it's just a bug in the game).
For those who like to know: Physics Semi-Pro, all assists off except auto rider tuck. Full damage/tyre wear. Semi auto shifting.
